
Cabraboc Palo Liqueur
CABRABOC returns to its roots. Palo is one of Mallorca's oldest aperitifs. Like so many other liqueurs, it was originally conceived as a medicinal syrup.
This drink, made from gentian root and cinchona bark, was widely used to treat malaria in Mallorca in the 17th century. The addition of sugar to improve the flavor and alcohol for better preservation led to the creation of the palo as we know it today. It is usually consumed with soda, mineral water, lemonade, or tonic water.
